ELVIS ELVIS ELVIS

ELVIS ELVIS ELVIS on the road! The popular Elvis Tribute concerts went on a cross-country tour (with full band including horns and background vocalists.) Highlights include performing at Massey Hall in Toronto and The Cave Nightclub in Vancouver. Hamilton Place, a show inside a major hotel in Winnipeg. There were Jubilee Auditorium concert hall shows in Edmonton and Calgary. We crossed the border for a few American concerts in Washington State and Oregon including Salem and Spokane. These Elvis tribute show experiences remain some of my favorite memories from my earliest days as a professional singer. This is where I cut my teeth and learned the craft of singing harmony under the near perfect instruction from musical director Wanda Mundy (vocal harmony parts.) Our band leader on the tour was Bill Wahl (trumpet.)

The energy of the crowd at the concerts, and the joy of singing classic Elvis Presley songs always created special and happy moments. Elvis fans still reminisce about these well known Elvis tribute shows in the 1970’s-1980’s produced by Les Vogt out of Vancouver, BC Canada.

Performing Elvis songs always brought a special energy to the show. The audience would sing along, dance, and cheer for more. These tribute performances taught me how powerful music can be in bringing people together. Whether it was a small club or a larger venue, the reaction was always the same – pure joy and nostalgia. These experiences remain some of my favorite memories from my years on the road. Elvis’ music continues to influence many artists today, and I’m proud to have been part of keeping that spirit alive through the exciting live shows. Glory to Elvis fans everywhere!
